STATEMENT: A tribute to the horses that built, defended and entertain this beautiful country. From farming and mining to the charge of the light brigade; logging rodeo to royal Randwick. They say Australia rides on the sheep’s back but they don’t go in the yards themselves. Built, Defended, Entertained.

ARTIST BIO: Toby Lewis was raised in the Wollar and Mudgee region. Growing up on his Grandfather’s farm and later going on to work on stations from Wilcannia to the Territory inspired his appreciation for the land and the animals that make outback Australia unique.

STATEMENT: Peacocks are known for their amazing tail feathers. They are fascinating creatures and are always a talking piece when noticed.

ARTIST BIO: For a number of years I have been working with galvanised wire. Through this medium I have achieved success by transforming a rigid product into something active and full of movement. Most of my inspiration comes from animals and nature, and I enjoy exploring new mediums for my sculptures.

He's been finalist at SXS Bondi, University of Western Sydney Sculpture Award, Scenic World, Yering Station Sculpture Prize and many more. Winner of Hunters Hill sculpture Prize, received Allens Arthur Robinson Scholarship 2007.

STATEMENT: The kennel is made from old pallets with a metal frame. I used old No.8 fencing wire welded on to a frame for the dog. The dog is the exact measurement of a Doberman. Hence the name DOBE.

STATEMENT: “I was surprised to learn abusers see themselves as the victim. In contrast, I discovered I'm the victim through counselling after two decades of abuse. I now have complex PTSD. I see his supporters as perpetrators by proxy of domestic abuse. I've learnt to block out their noise, finding beauty within. “

ARTIST BIO: Felicity Cavanough creates beautiful wiry sculptures. Winner of several prizes locally and nationally. Felicity's recent body of work represents quotes by survivors of domestic abuse. "For those who have lost their voice to this insidious psychological abuse, conditioned to believe they are worthless: I hear you, I believe you".

This piece makes a strong statement to the need for future development and education of Australian natural ecosystems.

I have exhibited in Mudgee and Orange, sold pieces in NSW, Queensland and Switzerland. One sculpture is in Lawson Park in Mudgee and one is at Mudgee Hospital.

STATEMENT: I have used the shape of this eagle to create different textures and patterns. I like using rusty, rough cut steel to create a scrappy, bushy appearance.

ARTIST BIO: Stuart Taylor is a scrap metal artist based in Deniliquin, NSW. He works with material gathered from farms and scrap yards in his local area. Many of his sculptures can be viewed on public display around the Riverina and interstate. He has been working as a full time sculptor for 10 years.

ARTIST STATEMENT: My stones are the whales of the land. While cruising Australia and other countries, I constantly search for them. In the lucky moments they will show their mighty bodies and make themselves visible. Polishing the rough skin for hours, I reveal their hidden identity; glimpsing the secret of continuance.

ARTIST BIO: Born in 1964 in Tyrol/Austria. Buisman is autodidact, crediting approximately 2,000 weathered granite boulders that became his main source of inspiration. A member of the Wiener Kuenstlerhaus Arthouse in Vienna since 2007 and exhibits worldwide. Public commissions in Australia include the Fred Hollows memorial in Bourke; Anzac memorial in Bombala; “Ciitzens” for the Walcha roundabout.

ARTIST BIO: Mary has completed a Diploma in Fine Art at the See St Gallery School, Meadowbank TAFE. Committed to recycling, she works in discarded material and found objects. Her work focuses on the notion that things are rarely as they seem.
