THE OUTDOOR SCULPTURE EXHIBITION

THE OUTDOOR SCULPTURE EXHIBITION

The heart of Sculptures in the Garden is the outdoor exhibition — more than 300 sculptures and artworks by local, regional and interstate artists, set across the beautiful spring gardens and vineyards of Rosby Wines.

Works range from intimate pieces to sweeping large-scale installations, in materials from stone and bronze to timber, steel and found objects. Every work is for sale, and with more than $60,000 in prize money across 10 categories, the calibre of work is exceptional.

Don’t forget to cast your vote in the People’s Choice Award — $500 to the winning artist.

ROSBY GALLERY — SMALL SCULPTURE WORKS EXHIBITION

Step inside the Rosby Gallery to discover the Small Sculpture Exhibition, featuring an impressive collection of selected small-scale works by exhibiting artists. The gallery is also home to the Mudgee Region Tourism Small Sculpture Prize, celebrating outstanding sculptures measuring less than 15cm.

A wonderful complement to the expansive outdoor exhibition, the gallery offers a quieter space to slow down, look closely and discover beautifully crafted works in an intimate setting.

SIG FOR KIDS — CARNIVAL

SIG FOR KIDS — CARNIVAL

This year's SIG for Kids theme is CARNIVAL — and it's every bit as fun as it sounds.

Local young artists were invited to create a sculpture inspired by the magic of the carnival: acrobats, clowns, carousel horses, fairy floss, ferris wheels — a whole world of dazzling performers, bright lights and wonder.

All entries are on display in a dedicated children's exhibition area at Rosby Wines throughout the event. If you're bringing the kids, this is not to be missed.

MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE — COMMUNITY SCULPTURE PROJECT

MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE — COMMUNITY SCULPTURE PROJECT

This year we're doing something truly special, and we'd love you to be part of it.

My Kingdom for a Horse is a large-scale, collaborative community sculpture project — the centrepiece of Sculptures in the Garden 2026.  The project invites visitors of all ages to work alongside professional artists to build a growing herd of life-sized horse sculptures from natural, locally sourced materials.

Participants will build organic horse sculptures over steel armatures — fabricated by the Mudgee Men’s Shed — using sticks, branches and other materials gathered from the local landscape. Over the 16 days of the festival, the herd will grow, shaped by hundreds of hands. No experience needed. Just show up and get involved.

Artist-led sessions run daily from 11am. Once the festival closes, the completed sculptures will be gifted to communities across the Mudgee region — a lasting legacy, made together.

My Kingdom for a Horse is supported by the Australian Government through the Festivals Australia program.

SCHOOL VISITS — MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE

SCHOOL VISITS — MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE

My Kingdom for a Horse includes a dedicated schools program for upper primary and secondary students. Weekday structured artist-led workshop sessions are available throughout the 16 days of the event.

Schools will receive booking assistance, supporting educational resources to encourage engagement with the exhibition and volunteer support at the workshop. This is a rare opportunity for students to engage directly with professional artists and large-scale outdoor sculpture.

To register your school's interest or find out more about the schools program, please contact us here: sig@rosby.com.au
