Appearing on the final weekend of Sculptures in the Garden, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October, Bridget Whitehead will demonstrate her meditative and tactile approach to stone sculpting. Working primarily with hand tools — hammer, chisel, and rasp — Bridget’s process is deliberate and physical, allowing the form to emerge gradually from the mass of stone. Her practice is deeply connected to the material itself, celebrating both its permanence and sensitivity. Visitors will have the chance to watch her work in real time and learn how sculpture becomes a language for exploring her relationship with the natural world.
