The heart of Sculptures in the Garden is the outdoor exhibition — more than 300 sculptures and artworks by local, regional and interstate artists, set across the beautiful spring gardens and vineyards of Rosby Wines.

Works range from intimate pieces to sweeping large-scale installations, in materials from stone and bronze to timber, steel and found objects. Every work is for sale, and with more than $60,000 in prize money across 10 categories, the calibre of work is exceptional.

Step inside the Rosby Gallery to discover the Small Sculpture Exhibition, featuring an impressive collection of selected small-scale works by exhibiting artists. The gallery is also home to the Mudgee Region Tourism Small Sculpture Prize, celebrating outstanding sculptures measuring less than 15cm.

A wonderful complement to the expansive outdoor exhibition, the gallery offers a quieter space to slow down, look closely and discover beautifully crafted works in an intimate setting.

This year's SIG for Kids theme is CARNIVAL — and it's every bit as fun as it sounds.

Local young artists were invited to create a sculpture inspired by the magic of the carnival: acrobats, clowns, carousel horses, fairy floss, ferris wheels — a whole world of dazzling performers, bright lights and wonder.

All entries are on display in a dedicated children's exhibition area at Rosby Wines throughout the event. If you're bringing the kids, this is not to be missed.

This year, we’re doing something truly special — and you’re invited to be part of it.

My Kingdom for a Horse is a collaborative community sculpture project at SIG 2026. Visitors of all ages can work alongside professional artists to build life-sized horses from locally gathered sticks and branches over steel armatures created by the Mudgee Men’s Shed.

Artist-led sessions run daily from 11am, with no experience needed. After SIG, the completed herd will be gifted to communities across the Mudgee Region.

Supported by the Australian Government through the Festivals Australia program.

The evening before the public opening is reserved for Friends of SIG members, exhibiting artists and event supporters — an exclusive first look at the exhibition before anyone else.

Bradley Hammond, Curator of Orange Regional Gallery, officially opens the 2026 exhibition and announces this year's acquisition prize winners. Bradley will then lead a sculpture walk with the prize-winning artists — open to all visitors and always one of the most memorable moments of the event.

Kay Norton-Knight, founder and Curator of Sculptures in the Garden, leads guided tours of the exhibition for school and community groups. Hear the stories behind the artworks, gain insight into the artists' practice, and experience the exhibition in a whole new way.

The Rosby Wine Bar is open daily, serving estate wines by the glass or bottle. Be among the first to taste the new 2026 vintage releases.

Please note: The Rosby Wines Cellar Door is unable to offer wine tastings during the event.

No need to pack lunch!  Our local favourite will pop-up for barista coffee and delicious bites for anytime of the day.  Open all day on weekends, and 10am - 2.30pm on weekdays.

Old Wheels Grind returns to SIG with their fresh OJ & gelato. Only on the weekends – blink and you’ll miss it!  

My Kingdom for a Horse includes a dedicated schools program for upper primary and secondary students. Weekday structured artist-led workshop sessions are available throughout the 16 days of the event.

Schools will receive booking assistance, supporting educational resources to encourage engagement with the exhibition and volunteer support at the workshop. This is a rare opportunity for students to engage directly with professional artists and large-scale outdoor sculpture.
