A favourite of the Rosby Art program, David Newman-White returns to Rosby to explore the human form, using a range of pastel based mediums. This weekend workshop introduces participants to a range of pastel media and methods, including pastel pencils, chalk pastel and oil pastel & mixed media using pastels.
Method 1 (day one, morning) Pastel pencil on Stonehenge paper
Method 2 (day one, afternoon) Chalk pastel on mid gray Canson paper
Method 3 (day two, morning) Mixed media, oil pastel, willow charcoal and watercolour
Method 4 (day 2 afternoon) Mixed media using ink, willow charcoal & oil pastel
About the tutor;
David Newman-White is a respected artist and tutor who specialises in painting and drawing. He runs painting and drawing workshops throughout NSW and interstate and tutors for the National Trust’s Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum summer drawing program. He has also has been employed by TAFE NSW for the past thirty five years teaching Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Fine Art.
