ART WORKSHOP for kids!

A workshop will be held in the school holidays leading up to the event with local children invited to come along and create with grape vine weaving, wrapped rocks, covered sticks and other medium. These will be displayed on a purpose built structure of varied sections that will form a central display of children's art over the weekend of the event in October. Young people visiting the event will also be able to choose an activity and add to the structure over the two days of the exhibition.

Sculptures in the Garden for kids! will also have a part to play in the local Green Day environmental awareness day in September attended by all school children of the district who are in Years 5 and 6. The 2017 Green Day theme is "GoMAD or Go Make a Difference"  so SIG Kids Committee will conduct a session where each child will contribute to building two life size horse sculptures out of sticks. These will then become part of the central sculptural display over the SIG weekend.

Please submit your entry form, images and statement via email to SIG for Kids! Submissions by Friday 22nd September.
